The Maples Group looks to add a Cayman Islands based Business Change Manager to our OCM team to help develop and drive our enterprise changes processes, ensuring enthusiastic and engaged adoption by the business of our global operational improvement programmes and invites eager and qualified candidates to apply. About the Role
The Maples Group is committed to investing in the future of the business and has embarked upon a global operational improvement roadmap to promote operational excellence and support the Group's strategic vision and priorities across all business areas. This role will initially have a greater focus on the business change aspects of the Client Engagement Lifecycle programme – a programme that is currently in flight and seeks to improve our processes and procedures throughout the client engagement lifecycle. These improved business processes will be supported by new underlying technology solutions.
In the future, the role will focus on the business change aspects of other programmes within the operational improvement roadmap.
Working in partnership with the programme teams, the Executive sponsorship across the Maples Group, together with our external Strategic Implementation Partners, the role will focus on the people, process and policy side of change, including those resulting from changes to our systems and technology, roles, and organisational structures. The primary responsibility will be the creation and implementation of change management strategies and plans which maximise client and employee adoption across our global operational improvement programmes.
The role will focus on fostering faster adoption and higher utilisation of the changes that affect the ways in which Maples' employees do their jobs and how we engage with our clients. The successful execution of the change management strategies and plans will increase benefit realisation, and provide tangible outcomes for Maples, its people and its clients.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the development of a structured approach to change management and culture change activities relating to global improvement programmes being delivered across the Maples Group, with an initial focus on the Client Engagement Lifecycle programme
- Assessing the impact of change and the subsequent development and execution of interventions to support adoption of the changes required by the various global programmes. This includes the design of plans to drive successful project outcomes, building on experience gained throughout the programmes
- Completion of change management assessments and risk mitigation tactics, communicating those insights clearly and succinctly. This will include assessing technical requirements & specifications of new systems and digital products for policy, organisational design, role and process implications
- Designing and delivering a communications strategy and plan to support the change aspects of each programme
- Working with project and teams to identify learning needs, develop impactful materials and partner with the learning and development team to deliver targeted learning to different roles across the firm
- Conducting stakeholder analyses, formulating stakeholder management actions and driving the stakeholder management plan throughout the duration of each initiative
- Supporting a network of change champions by providing them with the knowledge and tools required to bring about change within their teams
- Working with the PMO and Project Managers to integrate change management activities into project plans throughout the full lifecycle of the global operational projects, ensuring change management activities are effectively delivered upon
- Supporting and engaging senior leaders in helping them fulfill the roles of change sponsors and change leaders
- Working with local teams across multiple jurisdictions to measure business readiness and offer tailored support for adoption
- Contributing to the success of the OCM team by sharing knowledge, tools, and best practices
- Soliciting feedback from stakeholders, as well as through identified KPIs, to measure the impact of change management activities, ensuring that behavioral changes align with strategic objectives
EXPERIENCE
What You Bring
In addition to high professional and ethical standards, the ideal candidate will possess the following:
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience working on large-scale organisational change efforts, preferably in the professional or corporate services sectors or as a change consultant
- A Bachelors or Masters degree or professional qualification in a business discipline (or equivalent work experience)
- Experience in working within a complex matrix organization, particularly one that operates in multiple countries / jurisdictions
- Experience in working with international, virtual, multi-cultural, multi-disciplined, and high-performance working teams
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including experience persuasively articulating project and change proposals, socialising ideas and influencing stakeholders towards a recommended solution
- A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process
- Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools
- Ability to assimilate technical detail (process or technology related) to identify important impacts for employees
- Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal. The ability to quickly develop impactful written content to convey ideas to senior stakeholders will be highly beneficial
- Effective organisation and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure
- Demonstrated high levels of reliability, detail-orientation and achievement of results
- Comfort working in an agile environment where work products are shared frequently with project sponsors for feedback and iteration
